What’s the job?

Gregory employs over 1,500 people in 26 operating locations across the UK, including our main depots in Cullompton, North Tawton and Bristol.

History

1919

Archibald John Gregory started the business, hauling coal from the station to the local wool factory with a horse and cart. Nine months later, the horse died and was replaced by a 2.9 litre, 4-cylinder Model T motor lorry – the beginning of the Gregory family’s entry into the motor transport industry.

1992

Turnover reached £8.5 million and 12 acres of land were purchased at Cullompton in Devon for a new regional distribution centre as the North Tawton depot was at saturation point.
